Abby Coleman, a counselor and one of Serenity's newest residents, wants to make a difference in her new hometown, so she opens New Hope, a shelter catering to Domestic Abuse victims. An abuse victim herself, she knows just how much a place to turn to can mean when your life seems to be spiraling out of control.
As Sheriff of Serenity, Ben Marcum has seen it all, from rampaging shifters to blood-drunk vampires. He's done his best to keep his town safe and the humans ignorant, but when Abby Coleman crosses his path he can't imagine leaving the mortal in the dark about Serenity's supernatural inhabitants. In fact, he and his twin brother Trevor, the town's only judge, intend to show her up close and personal just what makes them special.
But when a dangerous predator stalks Serenity and Abby gets in its path, Ben and Trevor will do whatever it takes to keep her safe, even call in a mob boss for added protection. But will their efforts be enough when the predator they’re seeking can be anyone or anything?
Tammie King (Wednesday, 11 June 2008) Rating: Another visit to Serenity and it’s everything one would expect. Trevor and Ben are hot and hunky white tiger shifters and they find their mate in Abby one born of shifters but who has never shifted. When the evil comes to Serenity and Abby confides her secrets, she finds not only tolerance but acceptance from not only Ben and Trevor but other residents as well as they band together to fight the evil that has come to their town. Because now it is Abby’s town too. Samantha Ann of Night Owl Romance
Joyce Jackson (Sunday, 20 April 2008) Rating: 'Sheltering Abby' had a strong female lead in Abby, she was truly a cool, strong and confident woman. The paranormal aspect of the story was well done, but the romance/erotica was laced between the layers of a really good story. I look forward to Abby and her Mates fighting evil, and loved that her men loved her for her self, and embraced her spirit as well as her body. Loved Trevor and Ben, and would definitley love to see them between the covers of another book.
